Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Actuarial professionals to join Grant Thornton Bharat LLP in a full-time hybrid role. This position will leverage analytical skills to provide actuarial consulting services, with opportunities for collaboration and communication with stakeholders in the insurance and finance sectors. While primarily based in Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Bangalore, we offer flexibility for remote work.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of actuarial experience in General Insurance (GI)
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and VBA; familiarity with R, Power BI, or Python is advantageous
• Strong time management skills and a proactive approach to training and delivery
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
• Cleared a few actuarial papers or hold equivalent higher education qualifications
• Experience working under stringent deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously

Other Requirements 

• Understanding of Capital Modelling, including concepts like VaR, TVaR, stochastic processes, extreme value theory, and statistical distributions
• Background in claims reserving, including calculations related to Ultimate, IBNR, and navigating reserving templates
• Familiarity with the Solvency II framework
• Knowledge of UK markets and regulations for European and UK General Insurance companies
• Experience with Internal Capital Model validation, including stress tests, back tests, sensitivity analysis, and drafting LCR and model validation reports is an advantage
