Responsibilities:

  • Play a crucial role in the ongoing valuation requirements of large reinsurance blocks of business.
  • Support key strategic initiatives associated with the ongoing running and monitoring these blocks such as experience analysis, periodic audits etc.
  • Display ability to work across teams and collaborate to make ongoing processes more robust and efficient.
  • Proactively look for areas within the valuation process to remove redundancies and bring in automation to reduce runtimes and eliminate the possibility of human errors.
  • Communicate actuarial results to different internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • US Life and Retirement Products exposure. Experience on Annuity products such as FIA and MYGA preferred.
  • Steady exam progress with a clear path to attaining fellowship from IAI, IFOA or SOA.
  • At least 5+ years of insurance experiencerelated to pricing, valuation, risk management, model development, model validation, cashflow testing, ALM.
  • Experience with actuarial projection or valuation software preferred. Should be well versed with MS Excel and ideally proficient at any programming language such as Python.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to adopt a creative approach to solving complex process problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple work assignments and meet time commitments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
