• Analyse data to gauge patterns and trends in the financial markets to minimise risks as an actuary.
• Create reports, sheets and presentations for stakeholders and clients that depict their financial risks in layman’s terms.
• Collaborate closely with other professionals such as accountants, economists, bankers and underwriters to curate relevant risk management schemes.
• Use complicated mathematical actuarial modelling to help businesses make the best financial decisions.
• Provide guidance and education on the financial risks and provide alternative investment strategies through actuarial analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics or a related discipline.

• Knowledge of risk management from the actuarial science point of view.

• Strong analytical skills, along with proficiency in independent thinking and problem solving

• Awareness of financial laws in India, along with knowledge of actuarial principles.

• Additional certification in actuarial sciences

• Knowledge of common statistical software and tools

• Graduate in Mathematics/Statistics/Economics (2024/2023 batch only)
• Active student member of IAI or IFoA
• Should have cleared at least one CT exam (or equivalent such as ACET)
• Knowledge of CM1 is preferred

• Computation of Statutory Reserves and Solvency Ratio
• Recommendation of Statutory Assumption basis
• Computation of Asset Share and carrying out Bonus Supportability Investigation
• Generation of movement analysis of Asset share and FFA
• Conducting Analysis of Surplus
• Performing expense allocation on monthly basis
• Checking of Regulatory Forms and Reporting pertaining to Statutory Valuation and Reinsurance Administration
• Conducting Movement analysis of Statutory Reserves and producing checks in terms of appropriate reserve ratios
• Train the team in actuarial techniques related to valuation of liabilities
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and practice standards

• 6+ years of experience in a core life insurance company
• Proficiency in Prophet, DCS, SQL and MS-Access
• Completion of at least 10 actuarial papers as per the new curriculum

• Education - Masters in Economics, Maths & Statistics

• Experience of working within an outsourcing environment
• VBA Programming experience
