Responsibilities

Technical:

  • Familiarity with the US DB pension space or US DB Plan Coding, including but not limited to:
  • Funding valuations
  • Accounting valuations
  • Regulatory filing requirements

Communication:

  • Presenting results to the Actuaries.
  • Keeping stakeholders informed on progress for all projects.

Workflow Management:

  • Ability to estimate future workload capacity.
  • Raising requests for work in lieu of above.
  • Following-up on outstanding queries, escalate for support in a timely manner.

Teamwork:

  • Brainstorming with colleagues to come up with innovative solutions.
  • Volunteering to support team by picking up additional workload.
  • Extend support to tier T1 and T2

Continuous growth:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of business tools. Volunteer for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Keeping up to speed with changes in regulatory environment and changes in technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field, or equivalent, few actuarial exams passed or graduation/PG in actuarial science. 1 to 3 years of experience. Strong analytical, communication, organizational and prioritization, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages and aptitude in programming languages is preferred.

  • 1-3 years of US Defined Benefit or Plan coding experience
  • MS Office
  • Any coding experience ex., VBA, SAS etc
  • Familiarity with Proadmin or Proval software
  • Communicating with multiple stakeholders
  • Assisting trainee’s
