ACET – Recorded Course (6 months validity)

In order to get registered with IAI, one must clear the Actuarial Common Entrance Test, commonly known as ACET. It is a 100 marks online MCQ based examination of 3 hours with 70 questions. Like other Common Entrance Tests, ACET too tests a candidate’s numerical, comprehension and reasoning skills. The exam is usually conducted twice a year tentatively in the months of June and December. ACET will be conducted in a single day with one slot.
The distribution of questions will be:
a. 45 questions – 1 mark each
b. 20 questions – 2 marks each
c. 05 questions – 3 marks each

There aren’t any sectional cut-offs however the pass mark for clearing the examination is 50%.
ACET result is valid for 3 years from the date of declaration of the exam result for taking student membership of IAI.

As Eastern India’s first Google Certified Trainer, he is famous for his innovative calculator secrets. An author of 7 books, he has conducted successful Olympiads and seminars in Accountancy, Management, and Mathematics, and is also a motivational speaker.
Shivangee Agarwal is a Qualified Actuary with a Master’s in Data and Business Analytics from IIM Indore. She secured All India Rank 1 in CT7 – Business Economics and holds a B.Com (Hons in Finance) from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. Over 6+ years, she has taught 2500+ students in Actuarial and Data Analytics domain, becoming a favourite coach for CS2, CB2, CP2, and CP3 papers. She has expertise in Excel and R Programming. Her inspiring journey led her to conduct workshops and lectures at various colleges like Lady Shri Ram College, St. Xavier’s College, SRCC, Mithibai College, IIM Indore and IBS Hyderabad.
Vandita Sarda is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Actuary, with All India Rank 1 in 4 papers. A graduate from St. Xaviers’ College, Kolkata, she has 3 years of experience in mentoring students across actuarial papers. Her problem solving and interpersonal skills ensure that students get an in depth yet simple understanding of the concepts.
Prachi Patwari, MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai, with over 12 years of experience in Capital Markets. She has worked as a Senior Equity Advisor at Motilal Oswal and Edelweiss and has been an Authorized Business Partner of Motilal Oswal Financial Services since 2018. Prachi is also empanelled with AMFI and IRDA for providing consultancy and distribution services for structured financial products. Her programming journey began with Python and C++, where she developed skills in creating robust and scalable solutions. From automation scripts to data analysis, she has contributed to projects requiring a deep understanding of technology and strategic problem-solving. Prachi holds certifications in Stock Market Securities Operations and Risk Management, Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, and Portfolio Management. In addition to her industry expertise, she also teaches ACET, sharing her knowledge and experience to help students excel in their exams.
